מעגלה / MA’GALAH: A YEAR CIRCLING WITH KOHENET
A VIRTUAL IMMERSION IN KOHENET LEARNING, PRACTICE AND COMMUNITY, DISTINCT FROM OUR ORDINATION PROGRAM.
PARTICIPANTS WILL JOURNEY THROUGH A YEAR OF KOHENET LEARNING TOGETHER IN A DEDICATED COHORT WHILE ALSO HAVING OPPORTUNITIES TO CONNECT WITH THE WIDER KOHENET COMMUNITY THROUGH CHECK-INS AND PRAYER GATHERINGS.
The program is comprised of a variety of modalities including:
Bi-weekly Torah Study
Bi-weekly Kabbalat Shabbat and Shabbat morning davvening
Virtual holiday celebrations (with sliding scale pricing for the High Holidays and Passover)
Connection to a Mishpacha group for sustained connection and small-group check-ins
Second virtual Shabbaton with closing ritual (planning for virtual; may be in-person for an additional cost)
Additional event invitations as part of Kohenet community
Opening virtual Shabbaton
Virtual Temple Classes - access to one core class and two elective classes in our online learning environment. Core classes meet once each month over a longer time. Electives are shorter; and are either self-paced or have check-ins throughout.
Monthly cohort-based check-ins with ritual (to be led by members of the various Kohenet alumnae/x)
Monthly webinar (to be led by members of the Kohenet leadership team and various Kohenet alumnae/x)
Through this program, participants will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills toward spiritual transformation, deepen personal practice and become part of the Kohenet community. This immersive program is a powerful way to connect to Kohenet community, encounter Kohenet-style prayer and sacred practice, and learn from a variety of Kohenot. While this is not a Kohenet ordination track, participants may later choose to apply to Kohenet training and, if accepted, will be given retroactive credit for Virtual Temple courses.
The program will start in Fall 2022 and conclude in Summer 2023.
The deadline to apply is July 31, 2022.
Applicants will be notified regarding admission by Sept 2nd.
