A Call to Coherence:

Cultivating Trauma-Aware Ritual

With Rav Kohenet Taya Mâ

September 1 - October 6

Thursdays, 4pm-5:15pm ET

How do the needs and reverberations of ritual shift in response to experiences and impacts of trauma? How do we show up with skill and care when trauma is present inside of ourselves, ritual participants, and the traditions which the ritual roots?

A Call to Coherence offers blueprints, tools, and embodied practice for transforming trauma and lays pathways for crafting trauma-aware ritual.  We’ll explore core principles of trauma-healing and their applications in our own lives and in ritual space. We’ll learn practices for rooting in resilience and explore what is unique about tending with trauma-awareness in Jewish spiritual spaces, and in virtual ritual space.

Our six-week journey roots in weekly video calls with Taya Mâ  and includes optional reflection assignments and readings, and a discussion forum to integrate learnings. A Call to Coherence is informed by Taya Mâ’s orientation as a practitioner of the trauma-healing modality Somatic Experiencing as well her decades-long experience training emergent clergy in the art and practice of ritual craft. Our course spans the Elul and High Holiday period and is crafted to well-meet both those new to and seasoned in trauma-awareness and ritual leadership. This course is designed with an emergent and presence-based pedagogy, and for those who have studied with Taya Mâ before.

Thanks much for your interest in Call to Coherence! We’ve needed to cancel this class,

but look forward to journeying with you in other Virtual Temple courses soon.
